Bauhaus Archiv
As a museum and an archive, this institution has been building its holdings since 1961, becoming a collective voice for the Bauhaus. This extensive collection includes studies from actual Bauhaus courses, workshop pieces from all design disciplines, artistic photography, architectural plans, and most importantly, documents and photographs on the history of the Bauhaus.

Bauhaus Dessau Foundation
The foundation is organized into three sections: the the workshop, the academy and the collection. The collection includes original writings, legacies of those involved in the movement and a construction archive. The latter houses contain all of the original plans, measurements, even the structural components of the buidlings. Theoretically, Bauhaus fanatics could find out what kind of plaster was used on the walls.

Burg Giebichenstein-College of Art and Design - Custody & Archive
The Archive Collection contains documents dating back to 1900, as well as a huge stock of photographs, a poster collection, graphics, plans, sketches, and drawings. It also has an archive of diploma thesis and artist dossiers of the universities lecturers and students, newspaper articles, a documentation of the exhibitions, workshops, competitions and other events, print editions and publication made in the own workshops.

Design Museum Helsinki Archive and Marimekko Archive
The Designmuseo’s comprehensive and varied collections shed light on the history and development of Finnish design. The collection comprises over 35,000 objects, 40, 000 drawings and 100, 000 images. It is also complimented by a registry of over 1, 000 designers. It houses the most important collection of Marimekko in the world and is the recipient of the Marimekko archive.
